Job summary

BMW TechWorks India is hiring experienced Hardware Design Engineers to develop next-generation Automotive ECU hardware solutions. The role covers end-to-end hardware design, schematic development, PCB review, hardware validation, and collaboration with global engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years in automotive hardware design, strong expertise in schematic design, PCB layouts, and experience with CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols, along with hands-on validation and lab skills.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in Automotive Hardware Design.
• Strong experience in schematic design, PCB reviews, and automotive electronic systems.
• Hands-on experience with hardware validation and lab equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Automotive ECU hardware from concept to production.
• Design microcontroller-based, analog, mixed-signal, and power supply circuits.
• Develop and review schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts.
• Work with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C.
• Support EMC, thermal, environmental, and reliability validation activities.
• Perform component selection, hardware debugging, diagnostics, and testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical design reviews.
• Collaborate with Embedded Software, Mechanical, Functional Safety, Manufacturing, and Global BMW engineering teams.
