Job summary

ALTEN India is seeking a hardware engineer with 4–6 years of experience to lead design and development of automotive electronic products. The role covers schematic capture, power sequencing, thermal design, and EMC compliance across PCB and system levels.

Candidate will interface with SoC, DDR, flash memories, and high-end microcontrollers, ensuring robust interfaces (SPI/I2C/UART) and HS-CAN/GMSL/APIX/Ethernet compatibility. Collaboration with international teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of engineering experience in hardware development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop circuit schematics for automotive products, including display control.
• Develop automotive EMC-compliant products.
• Conduct worst-case analysis, thermal design, and parts selection for cost-competitive designs.
• Interface SoC, DDR, NOR/NAND Flash, and high-end microcontrollers.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare EMC test plans, perform tests, and analyze EMC test results.
• Support Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs) and defect prevention.
• Candidate qualities: self-starter with strong ethics and effective communication.

• Responsibilities:
• Oversee the design and development of electronic products, guiding them through various stages of the development cycle until they are ready for production.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in analog/digital interfacing and power supply design.
• Experience with TFT display, touch sense controllers, and image correction controllers interfacing.
• Implementation of system-level power-up/power-down sequences.
• Knowledge of thermal design considerations and management at both PCB and product levels.
• Competence in communication transceiver interface, routing, and filter selection for HS-CAN, GMSL, APIX, and Ethernet.
• Familiarity with on-board interfaces like SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Understanding of automotive EMC requirements and design considerations.
