Job summary

Landis+Gyr AG in India is seeking a Hardware Design & Development Testing Engineer (RF) to drive hardware/firmware testing across product standards and environmental reliability tests. This role collaborates with manufacturing, engineering, and product teams to validate designs and ensure robust performance.

You will document test plans, analyze results, track defects, and ensure timely completion with proper certificates and compliance, while supporting continuous improvement in testing

Qualifications

• Reliability testing under environmental conditions.
• Experience handling field failure/manufacturing issues.
• Working with firmware teams to validate hardware/firmware integration.

Responsibilities

• Hardware/firmware testing with applicable product standards.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and product manager.
• Ensure testing is completed on time with documented proof.
• Analyze test results, validate, track defects, and provide status updates.
• Document and modify test plans/reports.
• Defect verification and adherence to project schedule and quality.
• Coordinate with teams during project execution on issues and resolutions.
• Type testing of product and liaise with 3rd party labs for certificates/compliance.

Skills Required

• Reliability Testing (Environmental)

• Experience in handling Field Failure/Manufacturing issues.

• PCB CAD design (Altium) - Good to have

Are Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:

• Hardware/firmware testing w.r.t to applicable product standards.
