Job summary

Landis+Gyr is hiring in India for a hardware/firmware validation engineer with 2–6 years of experience. The role focuses on robust testing of hardware and firmware, RF performance, and environmental reliability to support our energy technology solutions.

You will perform PCB CAD design in Altium, conduct Sub-GHz RF tests, coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and product management, and prepare test plans and reports with clear documentation for certificates and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 to 6 years of hardware/firmware testing experience.
• Experience in PCB CAD design and RF/enviromental testing.

Responsibilities

• Hardware/firmware testing against product standards.
• RF testing including Sub-GHz, 4G.
• PCB CAD design in Altium.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and product managers.
• Develop test plans and reports; track defects and status.
• Coordinate with 3rd party labs for certificates and compliance.
• Ensure timely testing with documented proof.
• Analyze results and provide status updates.

• Work within a team to ensure product testing is completed on time and with the required level of documented proof.
• Analyze test results, perform validation, track defects and providing regular status.
• Document & create/modify test plans/reports.
• Defect Verification & adhere to project schedule and quality
• Coordinate with various teams during project execution on the issues & resolution
• Type testing of product & communication with 3rd party labs for getting certificates/ensuring compliance.
