Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Leadership: work with the Commercial Director on financial activities and governance.
• Operational Excellence: ensure SOP compliance and propel process improvements in Finance & Accounts.
• Fundraising and Working Capital: oversee fundraising and manage exports-focused working capital.
• Growth and Planning: support short/long-term plans via budgeting and cost controls; pursue organic/inorganic growth.
• Investment Decisions: participate in project investments and business expansions with ROI focus.
• Taxation and Compliance: ensure GST/TDS compliance and export tax refunds where applicable.
• Cost Control and Project Accounting: implement cost controls and manage project accounting.

1. Experience

7+ years of professional experience in finance and accounts, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

2. Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA).

3. Skill Requirements

• Expertise in accounting, taxation, and costing.
• Hands‑on experience in budgetingand working capital management.
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of 710 people.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Exceland PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership

• Work closely with the Commercial Director on the organization’s financial activities and operations.
• Contribute to the company’s Strategic Managementand Governance Framework.

2. Operational Excellence

• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and identify opportunities to improve processes within the Finance & Accounts function.
• Lead operational support initiatives to streamline financial activities and maximize efficiency.
• Ensure customer cycle continues to function smoothly and any deviations or gaps are identified and corrected
• Continuously monitor the organization’s financial health through business process improvements, profitability management, and tracking Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

3. Fundraising and Working Capital Management

• Oversee fundraising activitiesand manage working capital effectively, with a particular focus on export-related operations.
• Manage the entire working capital cycle including Debtors, Inventories and creditors and suggest ways to optimize the function

4. Growth and Business Planning

• Support short-term and long-term business plansthrough robust budgeting and cost control measures.
• Identify and execute organicand inorganic growth opportunitiesin alignment with business goals.
• Play a pivotal role in key financial decisions, such as project investmentsand business expansions.
• Ensure Return on investmenton the new projects that the company deep dives into

5. Taxation and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with taxation laws and oversee export-related tax refunds and clearances.
• Proficiency in managing laws related to GST/TDS deductions is a must

6. Cost Control and Project Accounting

• Manage project accountingand implement cost control strategies to optimize profitability and resource utilization.

7. Audit and Finalization

• Supervise accounts finalizationand provide support for statutory auditsand internal audits.

8. Team Leadership

• Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of finance professionals to achieve organizational goals and ensure seamless functioning of the department.
