We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Rating Developer to join our dynamic insurance technology team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter, particularly in Rating and Product Model configuration, along with solid understanding of P&C insurance domain.
About the Role
The Guidewire Rating Developer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing Rating and Product Model changes in Guidewire PolicyCenter.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement Rating and Product Model changes in Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Work closely with business analysts and solution architects to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain rate books, rate tables, and rate routines.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Perform integration with external systems and services using Guidewire configuration and Gosu scripting.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance of rating components.
- Ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with QA and UAT teams to support testing and deployment activities.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of total IT experience, with at least 2+ years of hands‑on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating.
Required Skills
- Experience in configuring Rate Books, Rate Tables, Rate Routines, and Parameter Sets.
- Sound understanding of Insurance domain concepts (Policy, Product Model, Coverage, Premiums, etc.).
- Familiarity with Guidewire Studio, Configuration, and Integration frameworks.
- Experience with SOAP/REST APIs, XML, and JSON integrations.
- Good analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
