Job summary

Charter Global is seeking a skilled Guidewire PolicyCenter specialist to design and implement rating logic for US/insurance-grade products. You will work on rating algorithms, rate tables, and rate books while integrating with external systems and data sources.

You will collaborate with business analysts and QA teams, develop unit tests, and contribute to Agile ceremonies to ensure accurate end-to-end rating execution.

Qualifications

• Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter v9+ (or Cloud).
• Expertise in Guidewire Rating Management (GWRM).
• Proficiency in Gosu programming (enhancements, classes, PCF, rules).
• Experience translating Pricing/Actuarial models into PolicyCenter logic.
• Strong understanding of PolicyCenter Product Model.
• Hands-on experience with XML and integrations (SOAP/REST).
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Git and Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain rating algorithms, rate tables, rate books, and worksheets in Guidewire PolicyCenter.
• Implement rating logic using GWRM and Gosu.
• Analyze rating requirements and translate them into scalable tech solutions.
• Customize policy rating entities, PCF screens, rules, workflows, and product model items.
• Collaborate with business analysts to align policy/rating rules with product changes.
• Integrate rating logic with external systems and data sources.
• Develop unit tests for rating logic and support SIT/UAT testing.
• Create technical docs for rating logic, rate books, and config changes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.

Job description

Design, configure, and maintain rating algorithms, rate tables, rate books, and rating worksheets in Guidewire PolicyCenter.

Implement rating logic using Guidewire Rating Management (GWRM) and Gosu.

Analyze rating requirements and transform them into scalable technical solutions.

PolicyCenter Customization

Customize entities, PCF screens, rules, workflows, and product model items related to rating.

Work with business analysts and product owners to understand policy/rating rules, product changes, and actuarial inputs.

Integrate rating logic with external systems such as:

• Third-party rating engines

Handle data model extensions for rating-related information.

Testing & Quality Assurance

Develop unit test cases for rating logic.

Support SIT/UAT testing and troubleshooting of rating discrepancies.

Work with QA teams to ensure accurate end-to-end rating execution.

Create technical documentation for rating logic, rate books, and configuration changes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams-BA, QA, architects, and deployment teams.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

3-8 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (v9+ or Cloud preferred).

Strong expertise in Guidewire Rating Management (GWRM).

Proficiency in Gosu programming (enhancements, classes, PCF, rules).

Experience with Pricing/Actuarial models and translating them into PolicyCenter logic.

Ability to configure:

• Rate routines
• Strong understanding of PolicyCenter Product Model.

Hands-on experience with:
