Job Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Guidewire BillingCenter Configuration Lead Developer to join our team and contribute to the successful implementation of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Guidewire BillingCenter configuration, possess a mandatory ACE certification, and preferably have experience with the Guidewire Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and QA, to gather and analyze business requirements related to billing functionalities.

• Lead the configuration and customization of the Guidewire BillingCenter to meet client needs and project objectives.

• Conduct hands-on configuration and ensure the successful implementation of billing rules, billing plans, and payment plans within the Guidewire BillingCenter application.

• Provide expertise in resolving billing-related issues, troubleshooting, and performing root cause analysis to identify and implement solutions.

• Assist in the design and development of billing-related enhancements and changes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

• Work closely with project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget, maintaining high-quality standards.

• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Guidewire technologies and insurance industry practices.

• Collaborate with the testing team to develop and execute test plans for billing-related configurations.

• Offer training and support to end-users, ensuring a smooth transition to the newly implemented billing systems.

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the BillingCenter application and its integrations with other systems.

Experience:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in configuring Guidewire BillingCenter.

• Guidewire Cloud Platform experience is highly desirable.

• Solid understanding of the P&C Insurance industry and its billing processes and practices.

• Proficient in Guidewire configuration tools and frameworks.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve billing-related issues.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

• Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work.

Qualifications and Skills:

• ACE certification in Guidewire BillingCenter is value adding

• Strong expertise in Guidewire BillingCenter configuration and customization.

• Proficiency in Gosu programming and Guidewire Rules Engine.

• Experience in entities, typelists, workflows, and PCF configuration.

• Knowledge of Guidewire integration (SOAP/REST APIs, Messaging, Batch Processing).

• Strong SQL and database skills (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).

• Familiarity with Java, Git, Jenkins, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

• Insurance domain expertise, especially in P&C billing processes.

• Lead BillingCenter implementation and upgrades.

• Design, configure, and optimize BillingCenter solutions.

• Code reviews, best practices, and performance tuning.

• Collaborate with stakeholders (business, QA, integration teams).

• Mentor junior developers and ensure technical excellence.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
