Job summary

Roots Recruitment is seeking a seasoned GST and Taxation lead based in Surat, India. The role focuses on end-to-end compliance for GST, TDS and income tax, with oversight of filings, audits and regulatory notices. You will manage a taxation team and coordinate with consultants and authorities to ensure timely, accurate submissions.

The incumbent will monitor regulatory updates and implement required actions to keep the organization compliant and efficient in tax matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end GST, TDS and Income Tax compliance.
• Review and oversee GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation and ITC.
• Ensure timely GST payments, returns and statutory compliances.
• Handle GST audits, assessments, notices and departmental queries.
• Manage TDS calculation, payment, reconciliation and return filing.
• Coordinate for Income Tax return, assessments, notices and tax audits.
• Provide tax advisory on business transactions and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors and government authorities.
• Monitor changes in GST and Income Tax laws and implement necessary actions.
• Lead and review the work of the GST & Taxation team.
