Job summary

Porter is seeking a Group Product Manager to own and evolve the Order Life Cycle platform, driving strategy beyond feature delivery in a rapidly growing mobility marketplace.

You will partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to shape scalable systems that power millions of transactions, while keeping deep customer empathy at the core.

You will influence architectural decisions, own key metrics like ETA adherence and wait times, and guide a multi-quarter roadmap in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of Product Management experience with ownership of high-scale platform products.
• Experience in Logistics, Mobility, Marketplace, Consumer Internet, or similar product-led technology companies.
• Proven track record of building platform systems that directly impact customer-facing experiences.
• Strong technical depth and ability to engage in architectural discussions involving platform boundaries and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for the Order Life Cycle across a 2–4 quarter horizon.
• Lead the evolution of OLC architecture in partnership with Engineering, influencing domain boundaries and scalability.
• Represent OLC in cross-functional architectural decisions involving Pricing, Allocation, Locations, Payments, and other critical systems.
• Build a continuous discovery engine through customer interactions, support insights, field immersions, and driver ride-alongs.
• Drive execution excellence through structured problem-solving, rigorous experimentation, and clear success metrics.

We're looking for a Group Product Manager to own and evolve one of the most strategic platform domains at Porter.

This is not a feature-delivery role.

We're seeking someone who combines deep customer empathy with strong platform-thinking and architectural intuition. Someone who can understand the anxiety of a customer waiting for their vehicle, the challenges faced by driver-partners on the ground, and translate those insights into scalable systems that power millions of transactions.

What You'll Own

• Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for the Order Life Cycle across a 2–4 quarter horizon.


• Lead the evolution of OLC architecture in partnership with Engineering, influencing domain boundaries, state management, inter-platform contracts, and platform scalability.


• Represent OLC in cross-functional architectural decisions involving Pricing, Allocation, Locations, Payments, and other critical systems.


• Build a continuous discovery engine through customer interactions, support insights, field immersions, and driver ride-alongs.


• Drive execution excellence through structured problem-solving, rigorous experimentation, and clear success metrics.


• Own key business and user metrics including ETA adherence, cancellation rates, waiting time breaches, support contact rates, and partner experience indicators.

What We're Looking For

• 7–12 years of Product Management experience with ownership of high-scale platform products.


• Experience in Logistics, Mobility, Marketplace, Consumer Internet, or similar product-led technology companies.


• Proven track record of building platform systems that directly impact customer-facing experiences.


• Strong technical depth and ability to engage in architectural discussions involving:


• Experience managing PMs or demonstrated ability to lead large, complex platform charters independently.


• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving platform boundaries while maintaining product clarity and execution velocity.
