Job summary

Indovance Pvt Ltd seeks a senior engineering delivery leader to own offshore delivery across power systems, renewables, and substation projects. Strong background in AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, DigSILENT, PLS-CADD, Civil 3D, Revit, and ISO 9001 practices is essential.

Job Description:

• Business Unit Ownership: Own delivery and business-unit metrics including gross margins, billable utilization, delivery SLAs, project profitability, client retention, NPS, and engineering bench readiness.
• Operational Scaling: Build, manage, and scale a 50+ member offshore engineering delivery unit comprising CAD draftspersons, BIM modelers, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and project coordinators.
• Client Relationship Management: Serve as the senior operational and technical point of contact for North American and European enterprise clients, managing scope, timelines, deliverables, escalations, RFIs, change orders, and service-level commitments.
• Technical Leadership: Own the technical accuracy of deliverables across power systems, renewables, substations, and transmission/distribution projects.
• Quality Gatekeeping: Establish and perform multi-tier QA/QC reviews for single line diagrams, schematic layouts, cable tray layouts, substation design packages, solar PV string layouts, T&D route plans, and CAD/BIM deliverables.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure all project deliverables comply with client specifications, ISO 9001 quality practices, utility guidelines, NEC, NESC, IEEE, IEC, and relevant local standards.
• Delivery Governance: Create planning rhythms, dashboards, review mechanisms, risk registers, escalation protocols, SOPs, technical checklists, and reusable design libraries for predictable execution.
• Financial Performance: Monitor utilization, resource allocation, project margins, billing leakage, productivity, rework cost, and cost-to-serve across the business unit.
• Automation and Efficiency: Drive adoption of automation tools, custom scripts, reusable templates, and software integrations to improve turnaround time, reduce rework, and increase delivery efficiency.
• Software and Workflow Excellence: Standardize workflows across AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, DigSILENT, PLS-CADD, Bentley Substation, Revit MEP, Civil 3D, and PVSyst as applicable.
• Talent Development: Define skill matrices, training roadmaps, hiring plans, mentoring systems, succession pipelines, and capability-building initiatives for drafting and engineering teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring delivery and design errors, improve review mechanisms, and strengthen the offshore production pipeline for speed, accuracy, consistency, and client confidence

Requirements

• M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of engineering delivery, operations, project execution, or technical leadership experience in energy, utilities, renewables, or power systems.
• Strong hands-on background in renewable energy, power distribution, transmission, substation design, and offshore engineering delivery.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience managing offshore or distributed engineering teams for international clients, preferably in North American markets.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV, wind balance of plant, utility interconnection, protection concepts, equipment layouts, grounding, cable routing, primary/secondary engineering, and T&D deliverables.
• Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP or DigSILENT, PLS-CADD, and integration with Civil 3D, Revit, Bentley Substation, or PVSyst workflows.
• Deep familiarity with IEEE, NESC, IEC, NEC, ISO 9001 practices, and utility-specific design standards.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, delivery governance, client escalations, operational KPIs, margins, design quality, and technical capability building.
• Excellent English communication skills with a client-first, analytical, high-ownership, detail-oriented leadership style.
