Qualifications

• Professional experience in graphic design, illustration and surface design.
• Experience with tableware, homeware, fashion or luxury brands is valued.
• Ability to translate concepts into production-ready artwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design complete tableware and home collections from concept to final artwork.
• Create original illustrations, motifs, patterns, prints and artwork for products.
• Understand international tableware aesthetics, trends, materials, techniques and visual language.
• Create handpainted or graphically illustrated artwork that can be adapted across homeware items.
• Hand draw, hand paint and create artwork physically, then scan and digitally refine those elements.
• Work confidently with scanned artwork, textures, brushwork and hand drawn elements to create finished designs.
• Develop repeat patterns, layouts, colourways and collection stories.
• Translate creative concepts into commercially viable product designs.
• Work closely with the product and creative teams on new collections.
• Prepare artwork and files according to manufacturing and production requirements.
• Create packaging, labels, cards and other brand collateral when required.
• Research international brands, tableware, fashion, art and design to bring fresh references and ideas into the brand.

About the Role

Fête Home is looking for a highly creative Graphic Designer / Illustrator with a strong understanding of international tableware, homeware, print, patterns and luxury design.

We are looking for someone who can go beyond execution and contribute creatively to developing original collections, illustrations, patterns, motifs and visual concepts that feel sophisticated, distinctive and globally relevant.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and design complete tableware and home collections from concept to final artwork
• Create original illustrations, motifs, patterns, prints and artwork for products
• Understand international tableware aesthetics, trends, materials, techniques and visual language
• Create handpainted or graphically illustrated artwork that can be adapted across homeware items like plates, trays, napkins, linens, textile, packaging, gifting products and other homeware
• Hand draw, hand paint and create artwork physically, then scan and digitally refine those elements
• Work confidently with scanned artwork, textures, brushwork and hand drawn elements to create finished designs
• Develop repeat patterns, layouts, colourways and collection stories
• Translate creative concepts into commercially viable product designs
• Work closely with the product and creative teams on new collections
• Prepare artwork and files according to manufacturing and production requirements

The Ideal Candidate

You are someone who:

• Has professional experience in graphic design, illustration, surface design, tableware, homeware, fashion, luxury or a related creative field
• Has a strong understanding of international tableware and homeware brands
• Has a refined and sophisticated design sensibility
• Can create original artwork rather than relying solely on existing digital assets
• Is comfortable moving between paper, paint, hand illustration and digital design
• Understands how a beautiful concept needs to translate into a real, manufacturable product
• Has an eye for detail and strong understanding of colour, proportion and composition
• Can independently take a collection from an initial idea to finished artwork
• Is curious about art, interiors, fashion, travel and global design
• Is highly organised and comfortable working on multiple collections and deadlines

Experience

This role is strictly for candidates with prior professional experience. Freshers will not be considered.

Experience working with tableware, homeware, lifestyle, fashion, luxury, surface design, textiles, stationery or product design will be highly valued.
