Job summary

John Crane is seeking a software engineer to join the IoT software team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on developing and documenting software solutions, including device connectivity, cloud integration, and dashboard applications, with emphasis on embedded applications and REST APIs.

You will work within an Agile environment, perform reviews and testing, ensure quality, support deployment across environments, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Sc/ IT) with minimum 70%.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document software solutions including device connectivity, cloud integration, and dashboards.
  • Review, test, and ensure quality of software modules, APIs, and IoT integrations.
  • Develop embedded applications, backend services, REST APIs, and web/mobile interfaces for IoT.
  • Perform unit/integration testing, debugging, and validation of features.
  • Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IoT apps across environments.
  • Maintain project documentation and compliance artifacts as per IMS standards.
  • Follow Agile/Scrum processes and cybersecurity guidelines.
  • Continuously learn new IoT/cloud technologies.

Job Description

Key Activities:



  • Assist in developing and documenting software solutions, including device connectivity, cloud integration, and dashboard applications.

  • Perform reviews, testing, and quality checks on software modules, APIs, and IoT integrations developed by the team.

  • Develop and maintain software components, including embedded applications, backend services, REST APIs, and web/mobile interfaces for IoT solutions.

  • Conduct self-quality checks through unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and validation of developed features.

  • Perform basic software engineering tasks, including coding, troubleshooting, data analysis, and performance optimization using appropriate development tools.

  • Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IoT applications across development, test, and production environments.

  • Maintain project documentation, code repositories, test records, and compliance artifacts in accordance with organizational quality standards and IMS requirements.

  • Follow software development best practices, coding standards, cybersecurity guidelines, and Agile/Scrum processes throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and tools relevant to IoT, cloud computing, and software engineering.

Additional Information

Utilizes technology to improve, streamline and automate design process. Responsible for programming tasks assigned by Team Lead with Quality and Deadline. The objective is to support Team Lead for requirement Programming activities and contribute to progress of overall project while maintaining product quality and adhering to internal standards.
