Role Overview
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, you will build technical expertise by approaching problems from multiple perspectives and evaluating different solution options. The role contributes to real‑world industrial automation projects within the Business Operations pillar.
You will work across several workstreams including roadmap features, customer success enhancements, technical debt improvements, and product health issues reported by customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and design software programs for enhancements and new product capabilities.
- Write, test, and debug code using modern programming technologies based on the Microsoft stack.
- Participate in Agile development processes and use tools across the full development lifecycle.
- Prepare documentation and procedures for software installation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with users to understand system requirements and implement necessary modifications.
- Deliver milestones within defined timelines and translate requirements into integrated technical solutions.
- Work with partner teams, peers, and managers while contributing to status reporting within the team.
- Stay updated on relevant technology trends and apply them in project work.
Basic Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum CGPA of 7.0.
- Recent graduate from 2025 or 2026 with 0–1 year of experience.
- Hands‑on knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Experience with object‑oriented programming, particularly C#.
- Exposure to web frameworks such as ASP.NET, ASP, or Node.js.
- Experience with database design, data modelling, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Subversion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a CDAC course.
- Familiarity with collaboration and project tools like Jira or Confluence.
- Exposure to AI tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Understanding of industrial automation or control systems.
- Hands‑on project or internship experience in automation, robotics, or industrial systems.
- Exposure to deploying applications on cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Working Arrangement
The role follows a hybrid working model aligned with the company policy, where employees typically work from a Rockwell location on specific weekdays unless business needs require otherwise.
