Job summary

Volvo Construction Equipment in Bengaluru invites fresh graduates for the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme. The role focuses on planning procurement, monitoring stock, and coordinating with suppliers to support production schedules.

You will work with Production, Planning, Quality and Logistics to ensure material availability, address obsolete or slow-moving inventory, and help improve delivery performance within a global, safety-conscious workplace.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Automobile.
• Fresh graduates welcomed and encouraged to apply.
• Apprenticeship under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme with year-long practical training.

Responsibilities

• Plan and arrange procurement of components for production based on daily production requirements and inventory status.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of critical materials to prevent production stoppages.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding purchase orders, scheduling agreements, delivery schedules, shortages and material quality issues.
• Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality and Warehouse to align material availability with the production plan.
• Identify Obsolete, Slow moving and Excess inventory and take corrective actions.
• Support Supplier delivery performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with Logistics to ensure timely pickup and delivery of parts.
