Job summary

Multiplier is seeking a seasoned Global Payroll Leader to orchestrate payroll operations across 150+ countries from Bengaluru. You will drive accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement while leading a high-performance team.

This role requires deep expertise in APAC regulations, scalable processes, and strong stakeholder collaboration to deliver reliable analytics and cost optimization.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of global payroll and HR operations experience.
  • Expertise in international payroll compliance, especially APAC regulations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Proven stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficient in payroll technology, ERP systems, and automation tools.
  • Effective leadership with a track record of mentoring payroll teams.
  • Strong communication and ability to translate payroll data into insights.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end global payroll processing for internal employees across 150+ countries with accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement.
  • Stay ahead of evolving global payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance frameworks to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with external payroll vendors, HR, Finance, and leadership to optimize workflows.
  • Implement pre-payroll validation checks and real-time payroll controls for audit readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes through automation.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics to provide visibility into payroll trends and cost optimization.
  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous learning.

What will you be doing?

You will be at the heart of our international payroll operations, ensuring seamless payroll execution across multiple countries. Your role will involve:

  • End-to-End Global Payroll Management – Oversee payroll processing for internal employees across 150+ countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement.

  • Compliance & Risk Mitigation – Stay ahead of evolving global payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance frameworks to mitigate risks and maintain full regulatory adherence.

  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management – Collaborate with external payroll vendors, internal HR, Finance, and leadership teams to optimize payroll workflows and address operational challenges.

  • Payroll Controls & Audit Readiness – Implement robust pre-payroll validation checks and real-time payroll controls, ensuring transparency and audit readiness at all times.

  • Process Optimization & Automation – Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes through automation and technology adoption, reducing manual dependencies and enhancing efficiency.

  • Payroll Dashboard & Reporting – Develop insightful payroll dashboards and analytics to provide visibility into payroll trends, compliance metrics, and cost optimization strategies.

  • Team Leadership & Development – Lead and mentor a team, fostering a high-performance culture while driving continuous learning and process excellence.

What do we need?

We are looking for a seasoned Global Payroll leader who brings a blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and deep domain knowledge. The ideal candidate should have:

  • 12+ years of experience in Global Payroll and HR Operations, preferably in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.

  • Proven expertise in international payroll compliance , specifically APAC, including tax laws, statutory requirements, and social security regulations.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills, ensuring 100% payroll accuracy while proactively addressing discrepancies.

  • Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive payroll efficiency at scale.

  • Proficiency in payroll technology, ERP systems, and automation tools, leveraging tech to streamline payroll operations.

  • Effective leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing payroll teams.

  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities, capable of translating complex payroll data into meaningful business insights.
