An international infrastructure investment and PPP development platform headquartered in Saudi Arabia, operating across the Middle East, Central Asia, Europe and Africa. The portfolio spans social and economic infrastructure, water, digital infrastructure, transport and logistics, and energy transition, and includes both wholly-owned entities and holdings in listed companies.
We are looking for a Governance and Compliance Specialist to own our global obligations register and our policy and procedure library, on a remote contract from India.
If someone asks which regulation drives a given policy, which policies are overdue for review, or what changed in a jurisdiction last month and what we did about it, you are the person with the answer.
What you would do
- Own the global obligations register. Every regulatory, statutory and contractual obligation across our jurisdictions and entities, captured, structured and kept current.
- Track contractual and financing obligations. Concession agreements, project agreements and lender covenants carry reporting deadlines and undertakings that sit outside statute. These belong in the register alongside regulation.
- Own the policy and procedure library. Policies, procedures, charters, delegations of authority and guidelines across the group. Version control, review cycles, ownership and approval status. You know what is current, what is overdue and what is missing.
- Map obligations to documents. Link every obligation to the policies and procedures that address it. Flag gaps where an obligation has no policy, and orphans where a policy answers nothing.
- Recommend changes. Read the documents, do not just track them. Where a policy no longer reflects the regulation, where two policies contradict each other, where a new requirement needs a new control, draft the change and make the case for it.
- Monitor regulatory change. Track developments across our jurisdictions and turn them into a short, decided note. What changed, what it means for us, who needs to act.
- Maintain the entity and licence calendar. Statutory filings, licence and permit renewals and corporate governance requirements across group entities and project companies in several jurisdictions.
- Run the declaration registers. Conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, related party transactions and insider lists. Declaration cycles, completeness, chasing and exception reporting.
- Support the anti-bribery and corruption framework. Policy maintenance, third-party intermediary controls, training records and the evidence that the framework is operating.
- Maintain the internal compliance framework. How we evidence that our own policies are actually followed. Attestation cycles, monitoring, exception tracking and reporting to our board committee.
- Keep the governance calendar current. Review cycles, approval deadlines and committee dates tracked in our project management tool, updated without being chased.
- Use and maintain our compliance platform. Keeping the register, the policy library and the mappings accurate in the tool, and producing reporting from it.
Not in scope:
KYC and counterparty due diligence sit with our risk function. This role does not perform screening or onboarding.
