Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Golang Backend Developer with 5+ years of experience to design and implement scalable backend services. The role involves building high-performance microservices and APIs, and working with product managers, architects, DevOps, and QA to ensure reliable software delivery.

The candidate will write clean, testable code, review peers, and contribute to production support in a hybrid work environment located in Chennai or Nagpur.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and building scalable backend applications.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Go routines, channels, concurrency patterns.
• Experience with REST/gRPC APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Go.
• Build high-performance microservices and APIs.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, QA.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging and production support.

• Role: Golang Backend Developer | Exp: 5+ Years
• Location: Chennai / Nagpur (as per requirement)
• Work Mode: WFO / Hybrid (No WFH commitment)
• Strong experience in designing and building scalable backend applications.
• Good experience in developing high-performance microservices, APIs, and distributed systems using Go (Golang).
• Should collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to deliver reliable software solutions.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Go routines, channels, concurrency patterns, and core Go libraries is essential.
• Experience in REST/gRPC APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is required.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments.
• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, message queues, and performance optimisation is expected.
• Writing clean, testable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews, debugging, and production support.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills are needed to guide junior developers and support agile delivery.
