Job summary

Persistent Systems in Pune invites an experienced Golang Developer to design high-performance, cloud-native microservices powering large-scale payment platforms. You will work on Go-based systems, integrate REST and gRPC, and contribute to secure, scalable fintech solutions.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with global teams, and implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, plus Terraform for infra, while deploying on AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of software development experience with Golang.
• Experience with Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience building REST APIs and gRPC services.
• Strong AWS experience.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Jenkins) and Terraform.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Golang for global payment platforms.
• Build and optimize high-performance, low-latency systems capable of handling large transaction volumes.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and gRPC services within distributed architectures.
• Implement and automate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and manage infrastructure through Terraform.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and access management standards, including PAM and Teleport.
• Drive technical design decisions, lead development initiatives, and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver enterprise-scale fintech and payment solutions.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 7-12 years of software development experience with strong expertise in Golang.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture, REST APIs, and gRPC.
• Strong experience on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Terraform.
• Experience working with SQL/PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native application development.
• Experience building and supporting high-throughput, distributed systems.
• Background in Fintech, Payments, Fraud Management, or Real-Time Transaction Processing.
• Strong problem-solving, technical leadership, and mentoring capabilities.
• Exposure to AI-powered applications, LLM integrations, or Agentic AI architectures is a plus.
