Overview

We seek a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead in building the next generation of payment solutions that integrate with leading third-party providers such as Stripe and PayPal. You will help design and implement a scalable, AI-enhanced payment platform, working closely with Product, Architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that empower nonprofits to focus on their mission. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payment platforms, API integrations, AI/ML-driven fraud detection, and cloud-native architecture.

What You’ll Do

• We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our team.
• This role is ideal for professionals currently working at an AWS L5 level or equivalent, with strong experience in supporting production, internet-facing systems.
• You will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, triaging alerts, scripting automation, and ensuring system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Support production systems including Windows Server and web application servers.
• Manage Active Directory and related services.
• Write and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Bash, VBScript, etc., following company standards.
• Handle AWS-hosted applications, especially EC2 instances with load balancers.
• Triage production alerts/outages using detailed runbooks and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Ensure compliance with IT operations best practices: configuration management, change control, security, monitoring, and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams with a 2-hour overlap with EST time zone.
• Strong experience with Windows Server OS and Active Directory.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with AWS, especially EC2 and load balancers.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and Jenkins for CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of IP networking, routing, firewalls, and protocols (SMTP, HTTP, DNS, ICMP).
• Knowledge of enterprise IT operations concepts and best practices.
