Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical maintenance of plant equipment including crushers, kilns, mills, conveyors, and material handling systems;
• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum plant availability;
• Lead shutdowns, overhauling activities, and major maintenance projects;
• Monitor equipment performance, reliability, and energy efficiency;
• Coordinate with production, electrical, instrumentation, and project teams;
• Manage contractors, spare parts planning, and maintenance budgets;
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and best maintenance practices;
• Support plant expansion, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives;

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of rotary equipment, heavy mechanical systems, and plant maintenance
• Proven leadership, team handling, and cross-functional coordination experience
• Good problem-solving, planning, and communication skills

Experience Required

• 10 to 20 years of experience in Cement and/or Fertilizer industry
• Exposure to large-scale industrial procurement environments will be an added advantage
• Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
