Job summary

SGS seeks an experienced Programme Manager to lead operational, administrative, and performance monitoring activities for a global environmental programme. You will manage the Programme Dashboard, verification schedules, and assist the Scheme Manager in developing procedures and tools.

Job description

Specific Responsibilities

Operational & Administrative Activities

• Manage the Programme Dashboard, including performance metrics and tracking.
• Oversee verification and audit schedule submissions to meet programme requirements.
• Support the Scheme Manager in developing procedures, guidance documents, and programme tools.
• Help build environmental auditor capability across the network.
• Coordinate with RBS Managers and Regional Managers to ensure the programme is delivered in line with specifications, including capacity planning.

Programme Communication

• Maintain internal and external contact lists for programme updates.
• Share programme updates and requirements internally, collect affiliate feedback, and coordinate inputs with the Scheme Manager.
• Keep internal SharePoint folders updated with relevant policies, procedures, and documents.
• Act as the main communication point between SGS and external QA or oversight bodies regarding performance and KPIs.

Performance Monitoring

• Coordinate with Global Operations Efficiency and affiliate operations teams on operational or auditor performance issues.
• Manage programme complaints, including oversight of investigations and communication of outcomes where required.
• Track corrective action plans and overall programme KPIs.
• Provide improvement recommendations to the Scheme Manager based on performance monitoring, technical reviews, and stakeholder feedback.

SGS Integrity & Compliance

• Follow safe working practices in line with company health and safety policies.
• Support investigations or outcomes related to integrity matters where applicable.
• Manage expectations around conflict of interest and impartiality within the programme.

Profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in programme management, including communication, operations, administration, and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge or training in ISO certification, compliance auditing, company/site verification, or equivalent areas.
• Experience with environmental topics such as EMS, climate and energy use, water, wastewater, solid waste, air emissions, chemical management, or standards such as Higg FEM, amfori BEPI, GHG Protocol, and ISO 14001.
• Higg FEM audit experience is a strong advantage.
• Self-driven with excellent communication skills.
• Full fluency in English is required.
