Job summary

FORVIA HELLA is seeking a Digitalization Engineer to drive MES and shopfloor digitalization in an automotive manufacturing setup. You will design, implement, configure and support digital solutions across production and test systems, ensuring data security and OT/IT integration.

Ideal candidates bring 4–7 years of MES or manufacturing digitalization experience, with hands-on shopfloor work in automotive environments and exposure to pilot use-cases and PoCs.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of MES, shopfloor IT, or manufacturing digitalization experience.
• Hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing environments.
• BE / B.Tech in Computer/Electronics/IT/Mechanical/Industrial or related fields.
• Exposure to OT/IT integration and data security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure and support digitalization and shopfloor software across production and test systems.
• Support pilot use-cases, PoCs and digital rollout activities.
• Conduct user trainings and technical workshops for cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and reliable MES deployments.

YOUR TASKS

We are looking for a Digitalization Engineer to support MES and shopfloor digitalization initiatives within an automotive manufacturing environment. The role will focus on design, implementation, configuration, and support of digitalization and shopfloor software solutions used across production and test systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to MES, shopfloor systems, system configuration, monitoring, and pilot use-case execution, along with a solid understanding of data security and industrial IT environments.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
• Hands-on shopfloor digitalization experience
• Experience in system configuration, debugging, monitoring, and support
• Understanding of data security, data protection, and industrial IT standards
• Ability to support pilot use-cases, PoCs, and digital rollout activities
• Experience conducting user trainings and technical workshops
• Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• BE / B.Tech in Engineering (Computer / Electronics / IT / Mechanical / Industrial or related fields)

Experience

• 4-7 years of experience in MES, shopfloor IT, or manufacturing digitalization
• Hands-on experience working in automotive or manufacturing plant environments

Preferred / Added Advantage Skills

• Experience with Palantir Foundry (highly preferred)
• Knowledge of SAP (ME / MII / ERP integration exposure is a plus)
• Exposure to production data, traceability systems, or test systems
• Understanding of OT / IT integration in manufacturing
• Experience supporting global or multi-plant digital solutions
