Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Finance Professional in Mumbai to manage end-to-end General Ledger accounting and ensure compliance in financial statements. This role offers high visibility and ownership, aimed at improving financial processes in a fast-paced environment.

Suitable candidates will have 7-15 years of experience in GL accounting/MIS reporting within a manufacturing context. Responsibilities include preparing MIS reports and leading audits. Advanced Excel proficiency and knowledge of ERP systems are desirable.

Qualifications

• 7-15 years of experience in GL accounting and MIS reporting.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments with knowledge in Fixed Asset Accounting.
• Hands-on experience in month-end closing and inventory accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end General Ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations.

Job Description

• Manage end-to-end General Ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Ensure accurate and compliant financial statements (statutory and internal)
• Prepare and analyze MIS reports covering performance, variances, and trends
• Handle inventory accounting, valuation, and month-end closure in ERP
• Manage accounting for multiple entities and support consolidation
• Collaborate with FP&A for budgeting and forecasting insights
• Lead statutory and internal audits with complete documentation
• Strengthen internal controls and improve GL/MIS processes and automation
• Partner with cross-functional teams for data validation and reporting

The Successful Applicant

• MBA Finance / CA Inter / M.Com / B.Com or equivalent qualification
• 7-15 years of experience in GL accounting and MIS reporting
• Strong exposure to manufacturing / industrial environment. Should know Fixed Asset Accounting/Inventory/Depreciation.
• Hands‑on experience in month‑end closing and inventory accounting
• Experience with ERP systems – Navision and Microsoft D365 and advanced Excel is preferred (Not Mandatory).
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to work in dynamic setups
• Comfortable in a high‑ownership, individual contributor role
• Saturdays are half days (work from home)
