Job summary

Kent seeks a General Accountant for its Mumbai office to support end-to-end month-end close activities, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, accruals, depreciation, intercompany reconciliations, and cash applications. The role emphasizes process documentation, automation, and accuracy with a strong problem-solving approach.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field and 5–10 years of experience in a Shared Service Records-to-Report environment, with Oracle Fusion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in Shared Serviced environment under the Record to Report tower.
• Oracle Fusion experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts, Bank accounts and follow up on open items
• Calculate and post accruals for expenses and provisions based on business inputs.
• Perform depreciation run and reconciliation activity as per defined procedures.
• Perform monthly intercompany account reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and balanced.
• Good understanding on the end-to-end month ends close activities.
• Perform cash application and Netting process for ICO customers/ICO Vendors
• Ensure accurate working and posting of Rule based journal entries
• Create, maintain and follow the process documentations as per the target operating model
• Contribute towards automating and improving the processes.
• Maintain a problem-solving approach
• Assist with as-building deliverables

About the Job:

Kent is seeking a General Accountant for the Mumbai office to support end-to-end month-end close activities, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations, accruals, depreciation, intercompany reconciliations, cash application, and rule-based journal entries. The role also involves maintaining process documentation, supporting automation and process improvements, and ensuring accuracy in financial records with a strong problem-solving approach.

Skills and Responsibilities

Yourknowledge/skills,education,andexperience:
