Job summary

Surbana Jurong in India is seeking a GIS professional to develop, manage and maintain GIS databases for the Amravati City project. You will prepare and update GIS maps, thematic maps and spatial databases for various project components.

You will collect, process, analyse and interpret spatial and non-spatial data, integrate GIS data with engineering, utility, land-use and infrastructure datasets, and conduct spatial analysis to support planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain GIS databases for the Amravati City project.
• Prepare and update GIS maps, thematic maps and spatial databases for various project components.
• Collect, process, analyse and interpret spatial and non-spatial data.
• Integrate GIS data with engineering, utility, land-use and infrastructure datasets.
• Conduct spatial analysis to support planning, design and decision-making.
• Prepare maps and GIS outputs for roads, water supply, sewerage, drainage, utilities, land use and other urban infrastructure components.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure GIS data is aligned with project requirements.
• Perform data digitisation, georeferencing, topology checks and quality control.
• Support preparation and maintenance of asset/utility databases and GIS-based inventory.
• Assist in developing GIS-based dashboards and visualisations, where required.
• Coordinate with relevant government departments and stakeholders for collection and validation of spatial data.
• Prepare GIS reports, maps and other technical documentation as required.
