Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks a Mid-Level GIS Specialist in Mumbai to deliver geospatial solutions for environmental projects using Esri software, ArcGIS Online, and mobile data collection tools. You will produce high‑quality mapping, maintain GIS databases, and support spatial analyses alongside project managers and field scientists.

The candidate should have 3–4 years of GIS experience, a Geography degree or GIS certification, and skills in Python, JavaScript, SQL, or C#.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Geography or related field and/or GIS Certification.
• Proficient with Esri software and core GIS principles.
• Experience with mobile field apps (Field Maps, Survey123) is preferred.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative, and forward-thinking Mid-Level GIS Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will use Esri software suites, web-based GIS applications such as ArcGIS Online, and mobile data collection platforms to support intermediate to complex environmental projects.

The ideal candidate has 3 to 4 years of professional GIS experience, demonstrates strong technical proficiency in spatial analysis and data management, and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment. You will work closely with project managers, GIS leads, and field scientists to deliver high-quality geospatial solutions.
