Job summary

Dassault Systèmes in Pune, Maharashtra, seeks an AI Engineer to design, deliver and improve AI models and agents for generative 3D experiences. You will learn from production usage, select models, prepare data, train and fine tune, and evaluate performance, contributing to a global R&D team.

Applicants should have strong programming skills (C++, Python) and experience in AI/ML, deep learning, and CAD/CAE software, with 2–6 years of relevant industry experience.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in Computational Geometry, Differential Geometry, Numerical Analysis or Optimization.
• Experience with CAD/CAM/CAE software and AI/ML model development.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Technologies R&D department provides DASSAULT SYSTEMES solutions (CATIA,
SOLIDWORKS, SIMULIA, DELMIA ...) with AI-driven mathematical and geometric
engines that form the foundation of generative workflows across 3D design, physics
simulation, and realistic visualization. Furthermore, the department spearheads Industry
World Model development across worldwide R&D, delivering specialized AI models for 3D
recognition, generation, and reconstruction alongside agentic workflows powered by
Virtual Companions.
Role Description and Responsibilities
Within this department, you will join the team responsible for Continuous / Exact Shape
representation & editing, and work towards enhancing 3D Geometry & Specification
Reconstruction portfolio, leveraging AI.
You will work as an AI Engineer at Technologies R&D Department.
The Role of an AI Engineer involves following:
Design, deliver, and continuously improve AI Models and Agents to enable industrial
& world-class Generative Experiences & Virtual Companions skills
Learn from production usage and user feedback to continuously raise accuracy,
safety, performance, and cost eiciency.
You will understand the requirements, build specifications, design solution,
experiment, select model, prepare the appropriate data sets, train, fine tune model,
evaluate the performance.
You will design and develop Synthetic data generation pipelines leveraging Dassault
Systèmes Software portfolio.
You will ensure high quality of deliveries by creating appropriate automated tests.
You will resolve quality, performance, robustness issues on components under your
responsibility.
You will use Enterprise AI and Agentic Framework and contribute to its evolution.
You will work eectively in a global, multi-cultural, multi-site R&D environment.
You will keep abreast of the latest technological developments, document and
share knowledge, best practices.

Qualifications
Masters or PhD in either of Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics,
Mathematics & Computing, Scientific Computing, CAD/CAM/CAE
Strong knowledge in one or more of Computational Geometry, Dierential
Geometry, Numerical analysis, Optimization
Experience in using CAD/CAM/CAE software
Strong knowledge in one or more of Deep Learning, Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic
architectures.
Strong Programming skills preferably in C++, Python
Overall, 2-6 years of Professional Experience in relevant Domain, comprising of:
o 1 to 3 yrs experience in software development using OOPs, Data Structures,
Algorithms, Design Patterns.
o 1 to 5 yrs experience in developing AI/Machine Learning based solutions for
problems related to CAD/CAM/CAE, including model selection, training,
evaluation
Strong analytical & problem-solving mind
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work as a team,
collaborate with other local/remote teams
