Job summary

Adani Group is seeking an ERC Lead - Process to head planning, engineering and design for coal washeries and mineral processing plants. You will coordinate with technology providers, consultants, project sites and departments to ensure successful delivery and implement innovative solutions.

The role requires steering concept through detailed engineering, selecting processes based on coal quality, and guiding tendering and vendor discussions to optimize cost and performance.

Qualifications

• Education qualifications include B.Tech / B.E. in Mineral Engineering or equal.
• Postgraduate qualification in Mineral Engineering is preferred (M.Tech).
• 15-20 years of work experience in mineral processing projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept, basic and detailed engineering for coal washeries and other mineral plants.
• Determine processes based on coal quality and select equipment and agreements.
• Prepare process layouts and design basis documents; coordinate with vendors and consultants.
• Prepare tender documents and engage with external vendors for design, EPC, EP or other requirements.
• Provide engineering support during pre-bid, DPR and project execution phases.
• Drive value engineering and innovation to improve cost and performance.

Purpose/Objective

The ERC Lead - Process is responsible for leading the planning, engineering and design efforts for coal washeries and other mineral processing plants. This includes planning, designing, and providing engineering support throughout various stages of project execution. The role involves coordinating with technology providers, Consultants vendors, Project Site and other departments to ensure successful project delivery and implementation of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Engineering Design and Development
• *Lead the concept, basic, and detailed engineering of coal washeries and other mineral processing plants.
• *Determine the appropriate process based on coal quality, including equipment selection, sizing, and type of agreement.
• *Develop process layouts to meet project requirements and achieve desired output.
• Process Engineering and Documentation
• *Prepare process engineering inputs, design basis documents, equipment lists, and technical specifications.
• *Ensure project engineering by various interdisciplinary functions and departments OR External Consultants.
• *Guide and review detailed equipment designs for coal Handling & Preparation Plant and other necessary equipment.
• Tender Preparation and Vendor Coordination
• *Prepare tender documents for Design Engineering consultants, EPC, EP, or other business requirements.
• *Engage in vendor discussions, technical evaluations, and preparation of recommendation sheets for vendor offers.
• *Ensure timely and effective communication with vendors to align project specifications with technological advancements.

• *Continuously update the team manager on trends and innovations in mineral processing.
• *Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements through innovative engineering solutions.

• *Coordinate with technology providers, project engineering teams, and site support to ensure successful project implementation.
• *Analyze operational plant data to optimize processes and enhance performance.

• *Ensure timely and proper interface detailing with other departments.
• *Continuously update the team manager about trends, innovations, and project progress.
• *Facilitate smooth coordination between different teams to ensure project success.
