Purpose/Objective
The Civil Head - (Projects) will play a pivotal leadership role within the Thermal Power Project division, driving the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects while aligning with Adani’s core values of innovation, sustainability, safety, and community engagement. This senior position demands a visionary leader with a proven track record of overseeing site civil aspects of power and energy projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and cost efficiency. Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of Role
- - Strategic Leadership & Project Execution: Lead and manage the civil engineering functions for power and energy projects from conceptualization through commissioning, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and corporate strategy.
- - Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and oversee detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality or safety standards.
- - Quality Assurance & Compliance: Enforce strict quality control measures and ensure compliance with statutory regulations, environmental guidelines, and Adani’s safety standards across all civil works.
- - Team Development & Leadership: Mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams comprising engineers, contractors, and consultants, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous professional development.
- - Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders, external contractors, regulatory bodies, and community representatives to facilitate smooth project progression.
- - Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with civil infrastructure activities, proactively implementing corrective actions to minimize project disruptions.
- - Resource Management: Optimize deployment of manpower, materials, and equipment ensuring cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- - Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and manage civil engineering contracts and agreements, ensuring adherence to commercial terms and timely resolution of disputes.
- - Innovation and Sustainability: Champion innovative construction techniques and sustainable practices that reduce environmental impact, improve energy efficiency, and align with Adani’s green energy vision.
- - Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present comprehensive progress reports, technical documents, and presentations to senior management, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making.
- - Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Promote a safety-first culture by implementing rigorous HSE policies and procedures, conducting regular site audits, and ensuring zero tolerance for unsafe practices.
- - Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor project costs closely and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on project integrity or timelines.
- - Continuous Improvement: Lead process improvement initiatives leveraging lessons learned and industry best practices to enhance efficiency and quality in civil project delivery.
Technical Competencies
- Expert knowledge of civil engineering design, construction methodologies, and material technologies specific to power/energy projects.
- ,Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Primavera, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
- ,Comprehensive understanding of statutory regulations, codes, and standards applicable to energy infrastructure.
- ,Civil Construction and structure work of BTG , BOP, CHP, Chimney and colling tower.
- ,Hands-on experience with quality assurance and safety compliance systems in large-scale construction projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma/bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized university or institute.
