Job summary

Adani Group seeks a Deputy General Manager - Civil for Korba/ Singrauli power projects. The role leads planning, execution, quality, safety, and cross-functional coordination across multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex civil works on schedule.

The ideal candidate will have 15–20 years in civil engineering and 5–7 years in Power/Energy project management, with a track record of handling large infrastructure and power plant construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering from a recognized university.

• Experience in Power/Energy infrastructure and handling large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee civil engineering activities for power/energy projects, including site prep, foundations, structural works, and finishing.
• Enforce stringent quality control and ensure compliance with standards through site inspections and audits.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Optimize deployment of resources by coordinating procurement, logistics and HR to ensure skilled manpower at site.
• Identify and mitigate project risks related to site conditions, design challenges, or regulatory delays.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures; approve civil expenditures and suggest cost-saving measures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety standards; promote a safety-first culture.
• Mentor and develop engineering and site teams to drive performance and learning.
• Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and compliance records for management and regulators.

The Deputy General Manager - Civil - Projects will play a pivotal leadership role within Adanis Power/Energy division, steering large-scale civil construction projects from inception through commissioning. This position demands a seasoned professional adept at managing complex project environments, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery while aligning with Adanis core values of innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. • Project Planning and Execution: Lead and oversee all civil engineering activities related to power and energy projects including site preparation, foundation work, structural works, and finishing. Experience:
