Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Brand experience preferred (NYC and brand exposure).

Responsibilities

• Ensure departments achieve or exceed guests' service scores and expectations.
• Assist Department Managers in preparing team member schedules in accordance with budgets and forecasts.
• Inspect rooms regularly with the team to ensure quality standards.
• Train operations team in financial controls for cash, payables, inventories, and receivables.
• Be familiar with local attractions and restaurants for guests, and ensure the team is informed.
• Respond to guest reviews and inquiries on all channels.
• Manage HR functions: recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in daily Stand-Up meetings and report on guest scores and other metrics.
• Lead team meetings.
• Develop, implement, and monitor budgets and forecasts for the department.
• Oversee vendor and personnel contracts.
• Participate in creating annual revenue, expense, and capital budgets.
• Assist in creating incentives for team members.

Expectations

• Work with other departments to ensure operations are running smoothly in tandem with one another.
• Participate in daily Stand-Up meetings for the leadership team and report out on guest scores and other metrics.

Qualifications

• Previous NYC and brand experience preferred

• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement, and the ability to motivate others
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
