Job summary

Homworks is seeking a General Manager - Finance & Accounts to lead our finance operations in India. This role requires strategic oversight of revenue, expenses, inventory, fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure, with a focus on timely, board-ready financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will drive GST, MCA filings, risk management, and treasury activities while mentoring finance, taxation, and treasury teams across manufacturing plant and corporate office locations.

Qualifications

• CA with 15+ years in finance and F&A leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience with GST, MCA filings, and statutory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead large finance and treasury teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting of revenue, expenses, inventory, assets and D&A.
• Prepare board reports and ensure timely financial statements.

Are you a strategic finance leader looking to drive financial excellence in a growing manufacturing powerhouse? We are looking for an experienced General Manager - Finance & Accounts to lead our finance operations in India!

Location: Manufacturing Plant / Corporate Office

Reporting to: CFO / Director Finance / Managing Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Oversight & Reporting: Ensure proper accounting of revenue, expenses, inventory, fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure. Prepare comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and board-level financial information while establishing rigorous reporting timelines.


• Statutory Compliance & Governance: Oversee GST, MCA filings, and all other relevant statutory compliances.


• Risk Management & Controls: Monitor internal controls and strengthen overall risk management frameworks.


• Treasury & Working Capital: Drive efficient treasury and working capital management, including handling letters of credit and financial negotiations.


• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and align finance, accounts, taxation, treasury, compliance, and reporting teams.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: 15–20 years of overall professional experience.


• Qualifications: CA preferred; CMA or equivalent relevant professional qualifications will also be considered.
