Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a General Ledger & Payroll Accounting Professional to support accurate and compliant accounting operations within a global Finance organization. You will help transition payroll GL activities, support month-end closings, and contribute to process improvements with global stakeholders.

The role requires 0-2 years of relevant experience, proficiency in English and Hungarian, and knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS.

Qualifications

• Degree or ongoing studies in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Hungarian.
• Solid understanding of General Ledger accounting and financial processes.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support the transition of payroll-related General Ledger activities from the GL team to the Payroll team, working closely with senior accountants.
• Take ownership of assigned accounting processes and month-end closing activities.
• Perform US GAAP accounting, reporting, financial analysis, and respond to ad hoc information requests.
• Prepare General Ledger account analyses and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Execute and document SOX controls diligently.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Build and maintain robust process documentation.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders and contribute to continuous process-improvement initiatives.
