Job summary

Nexthop Systems Inc is seeking an experienced Global Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL) Specialist to support worldwide finance ops. You will handle end-to-end AP, GL, and month-end close across multiple geographies and currencies.

The role involves tax compliance, vendor master maintenance, intercompany reconciliations, and process improvements. Strong ERP experience (Netsuite) and Excel skills are required. Bengaluru-based, with global responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in AP and GL roles, preferably in a global or shared service environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Netsuite is an added advantage).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, multi-currency accounting, and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
• Excellent communication skills for working with global stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end AP processes including invoice validation, 3-way matching, posting, and payment runs.
• Perform daily/monthly GL accounting, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications.
• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, tax compliance (WHT/TDS, GST/VAT), and appropriate approvals.
• Monitor aging, resolve vendor queries, and maintain vendor master data.
• Coordinate with procurement and business teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
• Support global payment cycles and ensure compliance with company policies and SOX/internal controls.
• Process employee expense claims and corporate credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for global entities.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in intercompany transactions, confirmations, and reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline AP & GL processes and Support implementation of automation tools or ERP enhancements.
