Job summary

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is seeking a General Cashier to join our startup-like team at the heart of Bengaluru. You’ll manage daily cash collections across Front Office, F&B and other outlets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to controls.

You should be detail-oriented, discreet, and capable of working under pressure while collaborating with departments to maintain smooth financial operations and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience as General Cashier or similar in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of cash handling procedures and banking processes.
• Experience with hotel financial systems.
• Strong numerical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the hotel's daily cash collections, including cash received from Front Office, Food & Beverage and other operating departments.
• Verify, reconcile and securely deposit all cash collections in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
• Maintain the hotel petty cash fund, process reimbursements and ensure all petty cash transactions are properly authorised and documented.
• Prepare daily cash reports, bank deposits and cash reconciliation statements, ensuring timely submission to the Finance department.
• Ensure all cash floats issued to operational departments are accurately recorded, balanced and replenished when required.
• Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies while maintaining complete supporting documentation.
