Job summary

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is seeking a General Cashier to join its finance team in Bengaluru. You will manage daily cash collections across departments, reconcile cash, maintain petty cash, and prepare cash reports in line with policy.

Ideal candidates have hospitality experience, strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel. You will support cross‑department operations in a fast‑growing, international hotel brand.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical abilities are required for daily cash management.
• Proven experience with cash handling procedures and banking processes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work across departments under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage the hotel's daily cash collections from Front Office, F&B and other departments.
• Verify, reconcile and securely deposit cash in accordance with policies and controls.
• Maintain the petty cash fund, reimbursements, and proper authorisation of transactions.
• Prepare daily cash reports, bank deposits, and cash reconciliations for Finance.
• Ensure cash floats are recorded, balanced and replenished as needed.
• Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies with complete supporting documentation.

The Hoxton is opening its very first neighbourhood hotel in Asia, coming to India’s Bengaluru city centre in 2026. Job Description

What you’ll do…

• Manage the hotel's daily cash collections, including cash received from Front Office, Food & Beverage and other operating departments.
• Verify, reconcile and securely deposit all cash collections in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
• Maintain the hotel petty cash fund, process reimbursements and ensure all petty cash transactions are properly authorised and documented.
• Prepare daily cash reports, bank deposits and cash reconciliation statements, ensuring timely submission to the Finance department.
• Ensure all cash floats issued to operational departments are accurately recorded, balanced and replenished when required.
• Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies while maintaining complete supporting documentation.
