Job summary

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is seeking a General Cashier to manage daily cash collections across Front Office, F&B and other departments. You will verify, reconcile, and securely deposit funds, maintain petty cash, and prepare daily reports for the Finance team.

The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and collaboration with multiple hotel departments. Ideal candidates have prior cashier or finance experience in hospitality, proficiency with Excel and hotel financial systems,

Qualifications

• Experience with hotel financial systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the hotel’s daily cash collections from Front Office, Food & Beverage and other departments.
• Verify, reconcile and securely deposit all cash collections per policies and controls.
• Maintain petty cash fund; process reimbursements and document transactions.
• Prepare daily cash reports, bank deposits and cash reconciliation statements for Finance.
• Ensure cash floats are recorded, balanced and replenished as needed.
• Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies with supporting documentation.

We are looking for a General Cashier with us at The Hoxton Bengaluru City.

The Hoxton is opening its very first neighbourhood hotel in Asia, coming to India’s Bengaluru city centre in 2026. Job Description

What you’ll do…

• Manage the hotel’s daily cash collections, including cash received from Front Office, Food & Beverage and other operating departments.
• Verify, reconcile and securely deposit all cash collections in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
• Maintain the hotel petty cash fund, process reimbursements and ensure all petty cash transactions are properly authorised and documented.
• Prepare daily cash reports, bank deposits and cash reconciliation statements, ensuring timely submission to the Finance department.
• Ensure all cash floats issued to operational departments are accurately recorded, balanced and replenished when required.
• Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies while maintaining complete supporting documentation.
