Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited in Pune seeks a GenAI Architect to lead design and delivery of enterprise AI/ML and Generative AI solutions. You will design Agentic AI systems, integrate LLMs with enterprise knowledge sources, and define technology roadmaps aligned with business goals.

You will mentor teams, evaluate new AI frameworks, and ensure scalable, secure architectures while driving production adoption of AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in AI/ML engineering or solution architecture.
• Strong expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, and autonomous AI agents.
• Deep understanding of LLMs and enterprise AI applications.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered applications.
• Proficiency in Python 3.x and AI development.

Responsibilities

AboutPosition:

We are seeking a highly skilled GenAI Architect to lead the design and implementation of next-generation AI/ML solutions with a strong focus on GenAI Agents, Agentic AI systems, and Large Language Models (LLMs). The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with architectural leadership to build scalable, production-grade AI platforms that deliver tangible business outcomes.

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise AI/ML and Generative AI solutions.
• Design and develop Agentic AI systems and GenAI-powered applications.
• Define AI technology roadmaps aligned with business priorities and innovation goals.

• Design Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks and knowledge retrieval systems.
• Guide development teams in AI engineering best practices, solution design, and deployment strategies.
• Evaluate emerging GenAI, Agent Frameworks, LLM orchestration platforms, and AI tooling.
• Design AI application workflows, orchestration pipelines, and autonomous agent ecosystems.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify AI use cases and business value opportunities.
• Establish AI governance, security, scalability, and operational best practices.
• Support proof-of-concept development and drive production adoption of AI solutions.
• Mentor engineers, AI developers, and technical teams.
• Stay current with advancements in Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, and cloud AI services.

ExpertiseYou'llBring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, solution architecture, or advanced software engineering.
• Strong expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, and autonomous AI agents.
• Deep understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and enterprise AI applications.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python 3.x and AI application development.
• Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, LlamaIndex.
• Expertise in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Experience integrating vector databases and knowledge retrieval systems.
• Strong understanding of AI orchestration, prompting strategies, and agent workflows.
• Experience designing scalable and secure AI architectures.
• Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and model lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical, architectural, and problem-solving skills.
