Job summary

Marutee Design And Engineering Private Limited is seeking an Automotive Embedded Hardware Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience. The role focuses on designing embedded hardware for instrument clusters, Telematics and VCU, including schematic creation, BOM, and board bring-up.

You will work with CAN/CAN-FD interfaces, BLE/Wi-Fi integration, and MCUs from Renesas, NXP, Infineon or STM32, coordinating with firmware and validation teams to ensure robust automotive hardware designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics/embedded systems required.
• 5+ years of embedded hardware design experience in automotive domain.
• Experience with CAN/CAN-FD and automotive interfaces; ISO 26262 awareness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded hardware for instrument clusters, Telematics and VCU.
• Create schematics, select components, prepare BOM and PCB layouts.
• Implement CAN/CAN-FD interfaces and BLE/Wi-Fi integration.
• Interface MCUs with TFT/LCD displays, LTE modules, LEDs and sensors.
• Perform board bring-up, debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and multimeters for validation.
• Support EMI/EMC, ESD and hardware validation activities.
• Collaborate with firmware, system, mechanical and validation teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded hardware for Instrument Cluster, Telematics and VCU.
• Design & develop schematic, component selection, BOM and PCB layouts preparation.
• CAN / CAN-FD communication interfaces.
• Integrate and debug BLE and Wi-Fi modules.
• Interface MCUs with TFT/LCD displays, LTE module, LEDs, sensors, CAN transceivers and peripherals.
• Perform board bring-up, hardware debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters and other hardware debug tools.
• Support EMI/EMC, ESD and hardware validation activities.
• Work closely with firmware, system, mechanical and validation teams.

Core Technical Skills

• Automotive communication: CAN, CAN-FD; LIN and Automotive Ethernet are an optional.
• Display interface : MIPI and LVDS
• Connectivity: BLE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
• Display and indication: TFT/LCD, LED drivers, tell-tales and backlight control.
• Automotive MCUs: Renesas, NXP, Infineon, STM32 or equivalent.
• Power electronics: DC-DC, LDO, reverse-polarity, over-voltage/under-voltage and transient protection.
