UST is seeking a DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, containerization, and IaC. The role focuses on designing scalable GCP environments, building robust deployment pipelines, and automating infrastructure with Terraform.

You will work across microservices architectures using Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS, supporting Java/Spring applications and production deployments.

Formación

• 5+ years of DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on with GCP, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes/ECS.
• Experience building end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation.
• Experience supporting distributed and microservices-based applications.
• Google Certified Cloud Engineer Certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on GCP or equivalent platforms.
• CI/CD & Automation: build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and release automation.

Role Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud environments while enabling efficient application deployment, automation, and operational excellence.

This role requires hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes/Amazon ECS, and modern distributed application architectures.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Ensure infrastructure scalability, reliability, security, and high availability.
• Monitor cloud environments and optimize performance across production and non-production systems.

CI/CD & Automation

• Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support automated application build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Implement DevOps best practices to improve deployment efficiency and operational excellence.
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve system reliability.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure modules and deployment templates.
• Ensure infrastructure consistency across environments.

Containerization & Orchestration

• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Amazon ECS
• Implement container orchestration best practices for scalable and resilient application deployments.

Application & Platform Support

• Collaborate closely with development teams supporting applications built on:
  • Java
  • Spring Framework
  • Spring Boot
• Troubleshoot application, deployment, and infrastructure issues across environments.
• Support release management and production deployments.

Database & System Administration

• Support and manage relational database environments, including:
  • Amazon RDS
  • IBM DB2
  • Other DBMS platforms
• Monitor database performance and assist with troubleshooting and optimization activities.

Architecture & Documentation

• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to modern distributed system designs.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, infrastructure configurations, and operational runbooks.
• Recommend improvements to enhance scalability, security, and performance.
