Job summary

Virtualware Innovations is seeking a Google Cloud Platform data engineer/architect to translate business requirements into robust technical specifications and design scalable GCP solutions. You will define architecture, lead data migrations to BigQuery, and drive best practices across delivery teams.

The role emphasizes connecting data with domain knowledge, enabling strategic and tactical roadmaps on GCP, and guiding clients through architectural decisions to reduce deployment risk.

Qualifications

• Experience in translating business requirements into technical specs.

• Hands-on experience migrating on-prem data pipelines and data warehouses to BigQuery.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Ability to build tactical and strategic roadmap on Google Cloud Platform.

Experience in defining the technical architecture on Google Cloud Platform involving cloud storage, big query, dataproc, cloud functions, dataflow.

Thorough understanding of Data migration with Hands on experience in migrating the on-premises data pipelines and data warehouse to Google Cloud Platform Big Query.

Experience in Data Migration from various databases like Teradata to Big Query.

Experience in Data Migration from Cloudera to Google Cloud Platform Dataproc.

Should have done at least one BQ data migration project

Should have data modelling experience in Big Query.

Should be able to connect Data and domain knowledge together

Should be able to implement Big Query best practices.

Drive business innovations through systems on GCP Cloud

Facilitating, guiding, and influencing the clients and teams towards right information technology architecture and becoming interface between Business leadership, Tech leadership and the delivery teams

Responsible for designing the solution architecture on GCP, Specify solutions and articulate value to customers.

To work with delivery teams, stakeholders and client SPOCs to deliver contracted projects, oversee support tracks, providing visibility of the delivery pipeline and reducing the risk of destabilizing.

Google Cloud Platform Professional data engineer certification or Google Cloud Platform Professional Architect certification is Preferred.
