Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned GCP Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade data and cloud solutions. This role will be responsible for defining end‑to‑end cloud and data architecture, driving strategic decisions, and enabling scalable, secure, and high‑performance data ecosystems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive enterprise‑level data and cloud architecture strategy.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high‑performance data platforms on GCP.
- Design end‑to‑end cloud architecture including data, application, and integration layers.
- Build and optimise data lakes, warehouses, and real‑time data pipelines.
- Lead solutioning using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
- Establish data governance, security, and compliance standards (especially in Healthcare domain).
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver value‑driven solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architecture guidance to teams.
- Ensure performance optimisation, cost efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Drive best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Required Skills & Experience
- 12–15 years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture / Cloud Architecture.
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with 5+ years of hands‑on experience.
- Proven experience in defining and implementing cloud architecture strategies.
- Deep knowledge of BigQuery and modern data warehousing architecture.
- Strong experience in designing large‑scale ETL/ELT and real‑time data pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Expertise in data modelling, performance tuning, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Airflow / Cloud Composer and orchestration frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (Healthcare preferred).
- Experience in client‑facing roles, solutioning, and stakeholder management.
Good to Have
- Experience with other cloud platforms like AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- GCP Certifications (Professional Data Engineer / Cloud Architect).
- Experience in Healthcare domain (HIPAA or similar compliance exposure).
- Experience in BFSI or enterprise‑scale data transformation programmes.
- Exposure to AI/ML‑driven data platforms.
