Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited is seeking a skilled Data Validation & Migration Analyst to lead the data validation and migration from Teradata on-prem to Google Cloud Platform BigQuery. The role requires 7+ years of experience in data analytics, SQL optimization, and cloud migration testing.

You will validate data, optimize queries and support post-migration validation to ensure parity with Teradata outputs, while contributing to a large wholesale banking data modernization initiative.

Qualifications

• BE/MBA/BCA/MCA or equivalent.
• Strong data analytics skills.
• Expertise in Google BigQuery and SQL.
• Hands-on with RDBMS, preferably Teradata.
• Advanced SQL and query optimization.
• Data warehousing concepts and performance tuning.
• Experience in cloud migration projects for data validation.

Responsibilities

• Validate migrated data from Teradata to BigQuery.
• Develop and execute data validation scripts in Python and SQL.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, lineage and parity with Teradata outputs.
• Optimize BigQuery performance for analytical workloads.

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Validation & Migration Analyst to support a critical wholesale banking data modernization initiative involving the migration of a large-scale data mart from Teradata (On-Premises) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery. The role requires deep expertise in data validation, SQL optimization, cloud migration testing, and data analytics to ensure the successful transition of business-critical data assets.

What You'll Do:

• Validate migrated data from On?Prem RDBMS (Teradata) to GCP BigQuery;
• Develop and execute data validation scripts using python and SQL
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, lineage, auditability, and parity with Teradata outputs
• Optimize BigQuery performance for analytical workloads
• Support post?migration validation and production sign?off.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• BE/MBA/BCA/MCA or equivalent
• Strong Data Analytical skills
• Strong expertise in Google BigQuery & SQL
• Hands?on experience with RDBMS platforms , preferably Teradata
• Advanced SQL and query optimization
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and performance tuning

• Experience in Banking domain, regulatory or financial reporting environments is nice to have.
