Persistent in Hyderabad is seeking a seasoned Data Validation & Migration Analyst to support a wholesale banking data modernization. The project migrates a large data mart from Teradata on-premises to Google Cloud Platform BigQuery.

The role demands deep expertise in data validation, SQL optimization, cloud migration testing, and data analytics. You will validate migrated data, develop Python and SQL validation scripts, ensure data accuracy, lineage, and parity with Teradata outputs, and

Qualifications

• BE/MBA/BCA/MCA or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in data validation and analytics.
• Strong expertise in Google BigQuery and SQL.
• Hands-on Teradata RDBMS experience.
• Experience with cloud migration testing.
• Banking domain knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

About Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Validation & Migration Analyst to support a critical wholesale banking data modernization initiative involving the migration of a large-scale data mart from Teradata (On-Premises) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery. The role requires deep expertise in data validation, SQL optimization, cloud migration testing, and data analytics to ensure the successful transition of business-critical data assets.

What You'll Do:

• Validate migrated data from OnPrem RDBMS (Teradata) to GCP BigQuery;
• Develop and execute data validation scripts using python and SQL
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, lineage, auditability, and parity with Teradata outputs
• Optimize BigQuery performance for analytical workloads
• Support postmigration validation and production signoff.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• BE/MBA/BCA/MCA or equivalent
• Strong Data Analytical skills
• Strong expertise in Google BigQuery & SQL
• Handson experience with RDBMS platforms , preferably Teradata
• Advanced SQL and query optimization
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and performance tuning
• Strong background of cloud migration projects for data validation and reconciliation
• Experience in Banking domain, regulatory or financial reporting environments is nice to have.
