Job summary

Alike Thoughts is seeking a Cloud Security specialist focused on Google Cloud Native security to strengthen our security posture across cloud environments. The role emphasizes aligning security controls with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and related standards, while enabling secure DevSecOps practices and automation.

Candidates should demonstrate practical remediation actions, effective communication to diverse stakeholders, and hands-on experience with cloud security tooling and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cloud security architectures and secure baselines.
• Experience with GCP security services: IAM, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Security Command Center, Cloud KMS, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, org policies.
• Familiarity with frameworks and compliance: NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS.
• Ability to assess cloud risks, recommend remediation, and communicate impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting DevSecOps practices: IaC, security reviews, vulnerability management, automation.

Must Have

• 1 Strong knowledge of cloud security architecture secure configuration baselines identity controls network segmentation encryption key management logging and monitoring
• 2 Experience with GCP security services such as IAM Cloud Logging Cloud Monitoring Security Command Center Cloud KMS VPC Service Controls Cloud Armor and organization policies
• 3 Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance requirements such as NIST ISO 27001 CIS Benchmarks SOC 2 HIPAA or PCI DSS
• 4 Ability to assess cloud risks recommend practical remediation actions and communicate impact to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
• 5 Experience supporting DevSecOpspractices infrastructureascode security reviews vulnerability management and security automation
