Job summary

Rackspace Technology in India (Gurugram) seeks an experienced GCP Cloud Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 technical support for enterprise cloud environments. The role focuses on troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues, managing incidents, and maintaining service availability while meeting customer SLAs in a managed services context.

You will handle GCP services, Terraform-managed infrastructure, and incident/change management processes, with a need for strong analytical and customer-facing

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT infrastructure or cloud operations experience with hands-on GCP support.
• GCP core services, cloud networking, Linux/Windows servers, and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Terraform and IaC concepts familiarity.
• Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work in a managed services environment and participate in rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for GCP services (Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud DNS).
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, performance, and OS issues.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and approved infra changes within SLAs.
• Monitor environments, analyze logs, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support Terraform-managed infrastructure, review plans, and detect drift.
• Adhere to change management, security, and operational best practices.
• Communicate updates and resolutions effectively to customers and teams.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced GCP Cloud Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 technical support for enterprise cloud environments. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues, managing incidents, maintaining service availability, and meeting customer SLAs in a managed services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for GCP services, including Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud DNS, Load Balancing, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, connectivity, performance, and operating system issues.
• Manage incidents, service requests, problem investigations, and approved infrastructure changes within defined SLAs.
• Monitor cloud environments, analyze logs and alerts, and perform root cause analysis.
• Support Terraform-managed infrastructure, including configuration troubleshooting, Terraform plan reviews, and infrastructure drift investigation.
• Follow change management, security, and operational best practices while implementing production changes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, providing timely updates and technical resolutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure or cloud operations experience, including hands-on GCP support.
• Good knowledge of GCP core services, cloud networking, Linux/Windows servers, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
• Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a managed services environment and rotational shifts, including 24×7 support, if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Engineer certification.
• Familiarity with Git, basic scripting, cloud monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.

Note: This is a cloud support and operations role, not a DevOps engineering role. Terraform knowledge is required for supporting and troubleshooting existing infrastructure.
