Job summary

Wipro is seeking an experienced Google Cloud professional to lead GCP organization design, migration, and steady-state operations from Chennai. You will manage compute, storage, networking, and database services, ensuring scalable, secure cloud workloads.

You will implement image governance, patch management, and automation using Terraform, Deployment Manager and CI/CD tools, while guiding incident triage, backups, and DR drills. Strong governance and SRE practices are required.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on cloud experience with GCP.
• Strong governance of cloud resources, IAM and org policy.
• Experience in design, migration and onboarding of cloud workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead GCP organization, folder and project design, migration, onboarding and steady-state operations.
• Manage Compute Engine lifecycle and Persistent Disk creation, expansion, snapshots and lifecycle policies.
• Create and govern custom or golden images; administer OS patching through GCP OS Config.
• Operate VPCs, subnets, peering, routing and Private Service Connect; support Cloud Interconnect and Cloud VPN.
• Operate Cloud SQL and Spanner, including backup, patching, scaling and performance tuning.
• Operate GKE clusters, node pools and namespace governance.
• Support Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Apigee and Pub/Sub integrations.
• Support Vertex AI and Gemini endpoints, access, quotas and incident triage.
• Administer Cloud DNS, Secret Manager, Cloud KMS and Cloud IAM users, groups and roles.
• Lead Cloud Operations Suite monitoring, backup, restore and disaster-recovery drills.
• Mandatory Skills: Google Cloud Admin .

• Manage Incident, Problem and Change activities for P0-P3 tickets through ServiceNow.
• Meet SLAs and lead root-cause analysis for P0/P1 events.
• Maintain tagging, quota, resource-hierarchy governance and self-service blueprints.
• Maintain runbooks, dashboards and automation assets.

Preferred Training and Certifications

• Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect.
• Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
• ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation.

Required Technical Expertise

• GCE, Persistent Disk, Cloud Storage, Cloud Load Balancing, VPC, Cloud SQL, Spanner, GKE and Cloud Run.
• GCP Organization, folders, projects, Organization Policy and resource hierarchy.
• Terraform, Deployment Manager, Cloud Build, GitHub Actions and Ansible.
