Job summary

Ultra Corpotech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Furnace Operator for the Production division in Pune.

The role focuses on operating the Pit furnace, monitoring heat treatment cycles, and ensuring safety and quality compliance. Tasks include loading materials, setting parameters, recording data, and performing hardness inspections. Responsibilities also cover material handling, housekeeping (5S), and collaborating with production and quality teams to meet targets.

Qualifications

• ITI/DME/BE with furnace operation knowledge.
• Experience with heat treatment processes and safety standards.
• Ability to read engineering specs and QA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load materials into the Pit furnace as per charging plan.
• Set furnace parameters as per defined process plan.
• Monitor and record process parameters during operation.
• Inspect and verify as-quenched hardness.
• Inspect surface hardness after tempering using Vickers and Brinell testers.
• Unload materials safely after completion of heat treatment cycle.

Qualification ITI/ DME/ BE Critical Skills & Personal Attributes Responsible for operating Pit Furnace, ensuring proper heat treatment cycles, process monitoring, hardness inspection, and compliance with safety and quality standards. They may also be involved in material movements, problem-solving, and assisting in material layout and inspection tasks Main responsibility

• Load materials into the Pit furnace as per approved charging plan.
• Set furnace parameters as per defined process plan.
• Monitor and record process parameters during operation.
• Inspect and verify as-quenched hardness.
• Inspect surface hardness after tempering using Vickers and Brinell testers.
• Unload materials safely after completion of heat treatment cycle.
• Maintain housekeeping as per 5S standards.
• Handle materials like Inconel, Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel etc.
• Maintain production and process records.
• Carry out routine inspection and basic preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational standards.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet targets
• Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues related to heat treatment operations.
• Material Handling: Moving and managing materials within the heat treatment area.
• Following Procedures: Adhering to heat treatment procedures and safety protocols.
• Spec Interpretation: Understanding and using engineering spec, fixturing, and QMS procedures.
