Job summary

HSBC Holdings in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Fund Administration Processor for a 1 year contract. You will support fund migration, reconciliation, and postings while driving process improvements and adhering to HSBC internal controls.

The role requires a commerce/finance degree with 0–3 years in fund administration, knowledge of SimCorp Dimension, ICON, and Excel, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in commerce/finance preferred.
• 0–3 years fund administration experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of capital markets and reconciliation processes is a plus.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Fund Administration Processor.

1 Year Contract

In this role, you will:

• Engage and drive efficiencies and business solutions through automation and be an agent of change. Assist and participate in deploying defined business solutions to remove manual processes.
• Ensure Active participation and support of migration / re-migration of funds. Review the Postings/uploads and ensure all downstream/ Business Partner queries are responded in a timely manner.
• Act as the primary contact for Business Partners and downstream teams in relation to any query related to reconciliation/posting. Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers & business partners through timely communication and Standard Operating Procedure Calls.
• Responsible for ensuring NIL Business Partner Complaints. All Business Partner/Stakeholders queries and open items to be responded effectively to/raised in a timely manner. To maintain HSBC internal control standards and support internal/external reviews including the timely implementation of audit points.
• Ensure Trades/Reconciliation operating procedure is followed by management and assessment of risks (if any). Ensure Enhancements to Job-Aid Matrix, Standard Operating Procedure, process notes, checklists, Key Performance Indicator, and internal processes as and when required.
• Ensure, the Escalation Matrix is followed as per agreed for both Business Partner. Responsible for ensuring Nil breaches in all groups and risk policies. Audit, Business Risk Control Management and Compliance reviews rated as 'satisfactory’.
• Ensure continuous process-related updates are cascaded to the fund administrators on an ongoing basis. Undertake/conduct training/cross-training for all staff including existing and new staff and monitor the same on an ongoing basis.
• Being proactive in identifying root causes for process-related challenges and sharing qualitative resolution. Initiatives to demonstrate the application of HSBC Securities Services’ six principles in the day-to-day work environment

To be successful, you will:

• Applicants should have a Bachelor’s/master’s degree in commerce/finance with 0-3 years of fund administration experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Accounting & Valuations, Reconciliation, and Trade Processing platforms, viz. Simcorp Dimension and Excel. Basic knowledge in custody, brokerage, depository, investment accounting, mutual funds, and reconciliations.
• Good knowledge of Capital Markets and Financial instruments. Basic knowledge in accounting principles and fundamentals of accounting.
• Knowledge in one or more accounting platforms – ICON, SimCorp Dimension, Transaction Lifecycle Management, Vortex.
• Knowledge in investment accounting, investment valuations, mutual funds, etc.
• Will be expected to maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with any issues raised by external regulators.
• Good communication skills.
• Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
